I know I didn’t post a song for the last few days but I promise to make up for it soon. Until then enjoy this little gem.

So my senor gallery show is now open. It has taken a lot of work but now you can come and check it out.
Fake Empire is a visual responce to one question. What happens when the communication systems and media outlets that we currently rely on are severed?
The reception is tonight at 7pm and any one is welcome to come out and take a look. All the galleries will be open. Fallowing the reception I will be heading out for dinner and some drinks at a location to be announced tonight.
The gallery will be open until Thursday so feel free to stop by at anytime. Just leave a comment if you plan on coming to I can arrange with you to make sure the gallery is open.

Alright folks, this one is a real goodie. If you haven’t heard of Say Hi To Your Mom, now just Say Hi, then you are in for a real treat because these guys are super legit. This album is totally stacked to boot so hunt down a copy of The Wishes and the Glitch because its worth the effort.

Just as a note, if you are not familure with Take Away Shows I suggest you get on that right quick because there is some AMAZING content. Today, Sufjan Stevens makes his first appearance on Song of the Day with The Lakes of Canada.

I listen to a lot of music Ladies and Gentlemen. It’s a problem and I admit to it right here in the open. I would like to say however, that it is quite possibly the best problem one can have next to having more money then they know what to do with. One solution to that problem would be to buy lots of music. Anywho, so I have decided to post a new song everyday (most likely excluding the weekend) for your listening pleasure. Today I bring you a new favorite of mine, The National - Fake Empire. (Pardon the Letterman intro it was the best version I could find)

So I just got done doing some late night work on campus. Expect pictures soon. Also mark your calenders and start your countdowns because my gallery opens in one week. The official part is Tuesday night at 7am, Gallery 5 in the SJSU art building. I don’t care who you are, show up and have some free food and drink.
In other news, I am still looking for an awesome graphic design job come graduation. Print and/or web I don’t care, I’m flexible. Anyone with connections and or recommendations contact me.

A great and fun way to find out how well you know typography, and perhaps improve it a bit. I did alright the first time but after a bit of review improved quite a bit. I wish they showed you what you got wrong. That would allow for people to improve a bit. I am still beating myself up over Palatino though. I should have got that right (insert typographic mark of shame here). Anywho, don’t bother with submitting your name to the “Hall of Fame” as it is already completely full of perfect scores. Until next time…

Tod Machover of MIT’s Media Lab-inventor of the technology behind Guitar Hero-introduces Dan Ellsey, a composer with cerebral palsy who uses the lab’s tools to write/perform his own music. Ellsey conducts his “My Eagle Song,” in a performance that underscores music’s power to give you chills. This how the use of technology can truly enrich peoples lives. Moving to say the least.
