Its absolutely everything I wanted in a car and I really couldn’t be happier. I threw some pictures up on the gallery and below are the specs for those who care:

Camp Restlessness

Tuesday, July 24th, 2007

For a good week or so I have been ending my evenings with a rather restless feeling. I don’t know if its that camp occupies so much of my time that I feel like I need to do something of my own when I finally get off or if it’s something else. Either way, it seems to be slowly eating away at me. I am, however, having a pretty good week. I have told myself that this week will not be the same as the last and so far I have been keeping a positive attitude. I’m just trying to make a difference every way I can this week and for the rest of the summer. With that in mind can I just say that I find this song amazing! The video leaves something to be desired but the song more then makes up for it. It is quickly becoming my summer anthem. Anywho… its getting late and I have to wake up early tomorrow. Until next time…

Another One Bites The Dust

Tuesday, July 24th, 2007

My dear friends… we have lost a comrade this weekend. Apparently Blue was unable to keep the hawk for much longer then a week. His explanation was that he “had a job interview”. May we now have a moment of silence for out lost friend. RIP…

Tuesday, July 24th, 2007

So I just got back from The Art Project’s screen printing facilities with a fresh batch of shirts for Instructor Tee Tuesday! They sport the Go MAD, Make A Difference theme and boy did they come out good! I am super stoked but hey how about you just take a look and tell me what you think?

New Camp Photos In The Gallery

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

This week was a great week for Stanford tradition. As a course of practice at iD Tech - Stanford a small group that I like to call “the faithful” will get mohawks. This week was no different as myself, Nate (Cobra), Mike (Norris), Blue, and Slick all received the honor this year. The act was well documented and the best is shown below. For more check out the gallery.

The Camp Blues

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

I don’t know what it is right now but for whatever reason I seem rather glum. I want to think that four weeks of camp is starting to take its toll and that is probably the truth of the matter. Regardless, I find myself wanting to listen to unusually high amounts of sad indie music and that is a typical sign for me. Well now that I am done with that… I am going to try and post something a bit happier. So stay tuned…

iD Tech Dance Off

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

If you ever wondered what three weeks of teaching summer camp will do to you here is a perfect example. Waffles (aka Allison) and Medic (aka Scott) threw down in an impromptu dance off, prof that all it really takes is three weeks for us to start to get a bit loopy.

Ultimate On A Whole New Level

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

Today was my first official Ultimate game (thats ultimate frisbee for those who don’t know). Scott and I were invited by my co-worker Gecko to come play a pickup game that the employee’s of Facebook organize. I don’t know what else to say except, GOULET! Talk about a blast. Thankfully this is a weekly event and I am very excited about continuing my education. Did I mention the education. Oh God! Ding Ding, the school bells were ringing for Scott and I. We picked up quick and played a great game. I am totally stoked about putting together a club team in the San Jose area so anyone interested let me know.

On a related note, The finals of the 2007 UPA College Ultimate Championships are now available. They were aired on CSTV (College Sports TV) and they are now on the net for viewing. Wisconsin showed just how good they were with a romping 15 to 7 victory. Not to be out done, Stanford continued its domination of the womans division with a 13 to 7 victory. Burgers, Beers, and Blogs

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

Today is what I like to call, the unwind. Why might a normal everyday Saturday constitute the need for the three B’s? Well, anyone who has worked with kids on the summer camp level can attest that a week at camp is equivalent to a month in the real world. You get so caught up, so separated, so totally and completely engulfed by all that is summer camp (in my case iD Tech Camp) that after one week it feels like the world has left you behind. For me I no longer have time to blog about all that is going on in my life and I certainly don’t have time to blog about all the cool summer tech innovations (sorry iPhone fanatics I can not offer that which you crave, but iPhonePhil should be able to). As a result I am relegated to playing catch up on the weekends and such. So today, me and Mr. Venegas busted out the barbecue, chilled some brewsky’s, and grabbed the laptops for a impromptu blogging session. We threw on some Peter Bjorn and John (expect a full review shortly) and some Sufjan Stevens for effect and kicked back. The result was some chill times, a chance to catch up with a bit of the world, and I even threw some new photos on the gallery to boot. In all, good times.

Camp Is Exhausting

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

I started teaching at iD Tech Camps again this summer just one week ago and I am already wiped out. I would love to say more but I am just so tired. I will say a few things just to tease you all about my future stories. So last Friday all the new staff were officially welcomed into the iD Stanford Family with prank that would make even the great Jefe proud (may he rest in peace). We have had some great staff ultimate games and Piano Man’s talents on his instrument of choice have been the most perfect end to each night. I promise to blog more soon and also expect some sweet new photos from all the camp goodness soon. Until then…
